We can never get enough paper can we?  We've brought in many new beautiful designs from our favourite lines like Sandylion, Doodlebug and Imaginisce.  We've always brought in other lines that we don't often see in our store like Bo Bunny and Cosmo Cricut. Paris!  London!  Toronto!  Lisbon!  New York!  Buenos Aires!  Bazzil has come out with a new line of cardstock colours called Destinations.  Come check out these beautiful new colours.  Bazzil even came out a colour for Vancouver!  Come visit us to see what colour depicits our city! We've also brought in beautiful vellum paper that is perfect for those wedding invitations.  NEW BASIC GREY has arrived!! Three beautiful new lines for those projects of yours.  Come get them soon!!  They've been only in for one day and are already flying off the racks!

We've all heard by now that our penguin friend from Imaginisce is officially retiring from the scrapbooking scene.  We wish him and his grass-skirt-wearing girlfriend all the best.  So who will take his place?  Imaginisce has created a new mascot, Jo the Snowman!  We've always brought in all the coordinating embellishments, such as brads, snowflakes, "build-a-jo"s, and of course those snag-'em stamps! We've also brought in Making Memories Christmas FALALA line!  And boy, they thought of EVERYTHING THIS TIME.  Besides the brads, stickers and stamps, they came out with a RECIPE BOOK!  This will make a great gift for someone or for yourself!

As you know, we all like to do things a little bit earlier relative to the regular calendar.  First, it was Christmas in July.  Now, we already getting ready for spooks, ghouls, bad jokes and costumes...HALLOWE'EN!  Bo Bunny has designed a Hallowe'en line called Spooktastic.   Imaginisce also designed a Hallowe'en line complete with all the embellishments to give you project that special touch.   On Saturday, September 6th, from 1-3pm at the Vancouver Store Only and to only 12 people, we will be making a fun interactive haunted-house shape book, complete with disappearing ghosts, creepy eyes looking in from a window and a wedding!   There are only 12 spots available so sign up fast!

POW! BAM! ZORK! PUNCHES!!! EK Paper Shapers have come out with some really nice, practical and stylish punches!  Remember that corner L-shaped punch?  Well, EK has vamped that up!  There is now scalloped and flourished corner punches!  AND there are two styles PER punch.  Its like being two punches for the price of one!    We also love the new party punches they have and we've been using them a lot for our cards and projects.  They have a party hat, cupcake, and balloon!

Do you love those brackets?  I remember having to always go to my cricut machine, find the righ cartridge, cut out the right size paper to place on my cartridge mat to cut out one single bracket.  Needless to say, I LOVE these new bracket punches!!  AND again, they have two designs on one punch.  EK knows us so well =)   There are so many other new shapes!  Come on in and check them out!!   Diana Crick, the inventor of the Scor-Pal, has designed a working mat that fits perfectly into your scor-pal.  This design is perfect for those who have limited working area or who need a good well-made working surface.

Monthly Take-Home Projects Our Monthly Take Home Page Layout Kits have been a hit!! Each store pre-packages a limited number of kits each month so be sure to check our website for the layouts and come pick up a package right away as supplies are limited. The cost of each layout kit is $15.00 plus taxes. In addition to our monthly layout kits, drop by the store to pick up our monthly Take Home Projects too! Each month is a different surprise project to make! The cost per kit ranges from $5.00 - $10.00, depending on the project. Each store makes 20 kits per month so hurry in to get yours today!      This month we will be making one candy holder cut out by Sizzix machine and a thank you card to go along with it.  This is a great little present for someone special.  Just fill 'er up with the person's favourite candy and the card fits nicely with it as well!

Just a reminder, Making Memories with Scrapbooking hosts parties for kids of all ages. We can do parties for kids making mini books, cards and we will have some new projects as well in the New Year. For adults, we can host card making or scrapbooking parties of your choice. Parties with us are lots of fun because we do all the work and clean up! You just reserve a date and time and we will do all the rest!!

Scrapbook & Cards Today: the first "FREE" Canadian Magazine Making Memories with Scrapbooking is now advertising in this new magazine that comes out 4 times a year: Spring, Summer, Fall and WInter.
